FAQ for Online Therapy in Connecticut and Virginia

You’re ready to stop second-guessing yourself and feel more confident in your relationships and your life. Before you schedule your consultation, you may have a few questions. This page is here to give you clear, honest answers about what it’s like to work together.

How do I know if this is right for me?

If you’re a thoughtful, self-aware woman who finds herself overthinking relationships, second-guessing your instincts, or getting pulled into hot-and-cold dynamics, this work is for you.

You don’t have to keep repeating the same patterns. Together, we’ll work toward more clarity, confidence, and a different way of showing up in your relationships.

Do you only work with women who are dating?

Not at all. Many of my clients come to me after a breakup, during a pause from dating, or are partnered and reflecting on past relationships. The focus is on understanding the patterns that keep showing up - so when you decide you are ready to date again, you can do so with more self-trust and confidence. These dynamics also often show up in other contexts, so you may find that similar patterns are popping up in your relationships with family or at work. Therapy is great for detangling that.

Do you only work with high-achieving or professional women?

Many of my clients are ambitious, driven, and successful in their careers, but find that relationships feel much harder to navigate. If you resonate with the stories described here, you’re in the right place — regardless of your specific career or path. Everyone is unique and I work with women across a range of relationship experiences and identities.

What if I’ve already tried therapy before?

That’s very common. What we’ll focus on here isn’t just talking about your past—it’s how these dynamics are actually showing up in your relationships right now. We’ll look at things like your attachment patterns, how you respond in real time, and what happens in those moments where you start to overthink, pull back, or lose yourself a bit. I also provide real practical strategies to practice and use in your life. Therapy with me is practical, embodied, and designed to help you make different choices in real time that feel aligned with your truest self. The goal isn’t just insight—it’s helping you respond differently in a way that actually feels possible in your day-to-day life.

What if I feel broken or hopeless about relationships?

That’s often where many people begin. You’re not broken—there are reasons this feels the way it does, and it can shift.

Therapy gives you space to slow this down, understand what’s happening, and start to experience something different in your relationships.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes - all sessions are held online for clients in Virginia and Connecticut, so you can access support from anywhere. Many of my clients are busy professionals, and virtual therapy makes it easy to fit this work into your life. At this point, most people are already familiar with online therapy. What tends to matter more is whether you feel comfortable, understood, and like the work is actually helping.

That’s what we’ll focus on.

How often will we meet for therapy?

Sessions are scheduled weekly - this helps us build momentum and create meaningful change more quickly - which many find important when dealing with relationship issues in real time.

What does life look like after doing this work?

Clients often describe feeling less pulled into overthinking and more able to stay connected to themselves in relationships.

Dating and relationships start to feel less like a rollercoaster. You’re able to notice red flags earlier, trust what you’re picking up on, and step back from situations that don’t feel right—without as much second-guessing. Instead of losing yourself in someone else’s pace, you’re more aware of what you want and able to stay grounded in that.

Can we work together?

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Connecticut (#1812) and Virginia (#0717001590) and I work with clients located in these states. That also means if you live in Maryland but work in Virginia, we can meet while you’re on your lunchbreak. If you’re located elsewhere, feel free to reach out—depending on your location, there may be options.

What is the investment for working with you?

My session rate is $280 per 50-minute individual online therapy session.

Do you take my insurance?

I am currently in-network with Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, and in the process of transitioning off insurance panels.

If I’m out-of-network for your plan, I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement. Many clients also choose to use services like Reimbursify to simplify this process.

How is my information kept private?

Your privacy is taken seriously. All client records are stored in a secure, HIPAA-compliant system with encrypted data. Sessions are held over secure video platforms to ensure confidentiality.Your contact form is also HIPAA-compliant, so you can reach out knowing your information is protected from the start.
